Overexploitation Of Natural Resources
I know is late to post the project. My topic is overexploitation of natural resources, but first of all, I have to write some concepts and a little feedback about what natural resources are and why they are important.
Natural resources are things, substances, materials which economically are valuable in a relative natural form. Examples of these are fruits, fossil fuels, vegetables, wind, water, and a lot more.
Natural resources are classified into renewable and non-renewable resources. Renewable resources are the ones which can renew themselves, but if they are consumed in an excessive way, they can be depleted. Water, wind, trees can be considered renewable resources. Non-renewable resources are natural resources that can’t be regenerated; these resources exist in a limited amount in earth.
The importance of the exploitation of natural resources are very simple, is important, essential, the cream of the crop of the human existence. Everything the humans need are from a natural resource.
A lot of writing but nothing important yet. Now, what is the overexploitation of natural resources?
I mentioned that natural resources are important for humans, but humans are stupid ( I’m a human too don’t worry), and the exploitation of nature is done in an unsustainable way, that means that we explode more than we need to survive, causing a depletion of natural resources, which is a problem that threatens human existence. In few words, we are destroying stupidly what is good for us.
Overexploitation has a lot of causes, but all are related to humans. A great increase of population leads to a greater demand of natural resources, and materialistic culture, which promotes a mass consume, developing an unnecessary use of resources. Technology development is a huge cause of overexploitation, in the past hunting, exploiting minerals and fuels, fishing and lumbering where difficult, but with the modernization, machines can do these jobs easier and faster.
In a catastrophic future imagined by me. Consequences of natural resources depletion could be the extinction of many kinds of animal species, and an unbalanced environment. This could bring a lot of problems like weather changes, global warming with the disappearance of great extensions of forests. In a social and economic view, if a needed product starts to diminish there will be high costs for this product. Imagine if the food demand is too high there will be war, depression, great social problems and this could bring a large social restructure, I told you a catastrophic future but will happen if we don’t stop this huge problem.
Across the years the human had used the resources without measuring the consequences, but they have a limit so we have to stop doing that. We must put in a balance what we want and what we have in order to use it in a sustainable way so that the world will have a development in all the aspects of human life.
There are many institutions around the world that want to take care of the planet and do a lot of work to achieve that. Even though, the solution isn't there, it is in each one of the humans that live in this world. It’s our home, so we all have to care it.
